Who we areEKKO, in the Netherlands. One address for every question.

EKKO is EkkoPlay B.V., street and number, postcode and town, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number KVK number.

We are responsible for the personal data described on this page. For anything about it, write to hello@ekkoplay.nl or call +31 (0) 6 53 38 48 30.

What we collectWhat you send us, and a count of visits.

What you send us. When you plan an introduction, send a brief, email or call, we receive what you tell us: your name, your company, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message, with any files you add.

What the site counts. If you agree, we count visits to see which pages are read. The count records the page, the site you came from, the country, and the kind of device and browser. It sets no cookies and builds no profile, and we cannot tell from it who you are.

What we leave alone. No advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no data bought from anyone else.

Why we use itTo answer you, and to keep the site working.

To answer you. We use what you send to reply and to plan the conversation you asked for. The legal ground is the steps you ask us to take before an agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

To work together. If a project follows, we use your contact details to prepare and carry out the agreement.

To keep the site working. Technical logs keep the site safe. The legal ground is our legitimate interest in a site that works.

To see what is read. The visit count shows us which pages are useful. The legal ground is your permission, which you can take back under Cookies at the foot of the page.

To keep our books. Invoices and what belongs with them are kept because the law requires it.

We send no newsletter unless you ask for one, and no decision about you is made by a computer alone.

Who else handles itA few suppliers, on our instructions. Nobody for advertising.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. A few suppliers process it for us, under an agreement and only on our instructions.

Vercel hosts the site and counts the visits.

Email provider delivers the messages you send through our forms.

Cloudflare runs the security check that keeps automated senders out of the forms.

Some of these suppliers are in the United States or use servers there. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We hand data to an authority only when the law obliges us to.

How long we keep itAs long as your question takes, and no longer than the law asks.

Messages and briefs. Until your question is dealt with, and at most 12 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together.

Client records. For as long as we work together and 2 years after that. Invoices are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.

Visit counts. Only as totals that cannot be traced back to a person.

CookiesNone for tracking or advertising.

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. It keeps one thing on your device: your answer to the cookie question, so the question is not asked again.

Visits are counted only if you agree, and without cookies. You can change your answer at any time under Cookies at the foot of the page.

The security check on our forms may store a small file on your device that the check itself needs. It is not used to follow you.

If more is ever added, it is listed here first and waits for your answer.

Your rightsSee it, correct it, remove it, take it with you.

You can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected, removed or handed over to you in a usable file. You can also object to how we use it, ask us to pause that use, or take back a permission you gave.

Write to hello@ekkoplay.nl. We answer within one month, and may ask a question first to be sure the request comes from you.

Not satisfied with our answer? You can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

How we protect itEncrypted on the way, and read only by who needs it.

The site is served over an encrypted connection. What you send is read only by the people at EKKO who need it to answer you.

If something goes wrong with your data and it puts you at risk, we tell you and the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens without delay.
